Where Are We Now

Within one year’s time, Dr. Felder had been the shepherd of New Faith Baptist Church; the membership had grown to an active 6300 members and we experienced frequent visitations from the Holy Spirit within our services.

Dr. Felder has led the membership in local and global outreach and evangelism efforts within impoverished communities through medical clinics, playground builds, habitat for humanity partnerships, providing school supplies to thousands of children annually, thousands of thanksgiving baskets annually, an active prison ministry, senior citizens home renovations, serving the homeless and international partnerships. New Faith is the nation’s leader in the Angel Tree program through Prison Fellowship Ministry and partnered to address the needs of those devastated by the Tsunami.

When devastation stuck the Gulf Coast, we responded quickly to meet the needs of the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. New Faith became the primary site for the collection and distribution of items in the Chicago land area and delivered them to the residents that were relocated to Houston, Texas.

The year 2005 proved to be a turning point in the life of our church. We started our radio broadcast … and then God called us to the nations. In obedience, New Faith Baptist Church became New Faith Baptist Church International. The Joseph Assignment was born and a team of missionaries traveled to several villages in Ghana, West Africa to provide clean water, school supplies, teacher training, free medical supplies and health examinations, built a pre-school, and refurbished an elementary school. In addition, we built a church in the Ghanaian village of Nsaba. Additionally while there, through the vision of Dr. Felder and Dr. Alexis, New Faith established 4more churches in Ghana in villages of Odoben, Accra, Tema, and Takoradi for a total of 5 churches overall. All of our Ghanaian churches are under the leadership of Rev. Christopher Bediako. New Faith Baptist Church International also airs a weekly television broadcast (Forward by Faith) seen in 140 countries on the WORD Network every Wednesday evening at 8:00pm (CST).

New Faith has been acknowledged for her faithfulness in the community and abroad by various organizations. Through our relentless efforts in the community at-large, the NAACP awarded Dr. Trunell Felder and New Faith with the Presidential Award for being a community leader and active participant in support of their Act-So Program.

The presence of the Lord is here. Our membership has grown to close to 6500 and we have added a fourth worship service. Lives are being transformed, families’ strengthened and new converts are being baptized and equipped to partner with us as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20.

We are excited about what the Lord is doing and we know that the best is yet to come!

‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him – but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.’ 1 Cor 2:9-10 NIV
